She provides a review of The Stone Center Relational/Cultural Theory of eating disorders, diagnostic criteria and dynamics of eating problems. For Professionals

Day-long Retreats for Professionals Treating Eating and Body Image Disorders with Judith Ruskay Rabinor, Ph.D. Eating problems and body image disorders reflect profound disconnection -- from oneself, other people, and the universe at large. Healing involves expanding the capacity to connect and nourish mind, body, and soul. When we, as healers, can identify and embrace the sacred in our lives by tending our spiritual, psychological, and nutritional hungers, we can encourage our clients to do the same. This workshop for professionals will begin with a brief exploration of how food, eating, and dieting are attempts to cope with the quest for wholeness. Through story telling, imagery and writing mediations and experiential exercise, you will have the opportunity to focus on the sacred in your life and bring new rituals for renewal into your practice. Clinical cases welcome. Dr. Rabinor offers these workshops nationwide.

If you are interested in holding either of these workshops in your community or at a conference, please contact her at 516-889-3404 or by e-mail.
